Victorian Pietra Dura Carlsbad Souvenir Cigar Case

A marvelous and well-preserved Victorian Pietra Dura souvenir cigar case from Carlsbad, Bohemia, now known as Karlovy Vary in the Czech Republic.

The town was a popular resort from the early 19th Century due to its thermal spas which still remain today.

The is made of a type of lacquered celluloid and has inlaid mother-of-pearl flowers. The center of the case features an oval-shaped pietra dura motif. 

Condition: Very well-preserved. Some staining on the interior.
