English Victorian Papier Mache Hinged Box

A 19th-Century English papier mache and hand-painted box with mother of pearl and abalone shell inlay. It has a beautiful scalloped design with a pink patterned paper interior. It is a fine handmade Victorian-era box and all original. The size is perfect for pens and pencils, or keepsakes.

The internal locking mechanism is missing. General wear throughout.
